Our three‑week, full-time internship is designed to feel like real engineering work: you’ll join a team, work on a practical project created specifically for learning, participate in daily syncs, and collaborate closely with mentors who support you throughout the process.

It’s a chance to fully experience the Levi9 culture, build confidence, and learn how modern engineering teams operate.

Inside your internship project

Together with your mentors and teammates, you’ll build a full-stack web application using modern web cloud technologies. During the project, you’ll get hands-on experience with:

• Building REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

• Designing and working with relational databases using PostgreSQL, JPA, and Hibernate.

• Implementing authentication, authorization, validation, and error handling.

• Developing a web frontend using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Designing and integrating backend and frontend components.

• Writing unit and integration tests and learning the importance of reliable software.

• Containerizing applications using Docker.

• Deploying applications to AWS and working with cloud infrastructure.

• Using AWS services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, Amazon SQS, and CloudWatch.

• Working with asynchronous communication and cloud-native services.

• Using Git, pull requests, and code reviews as part of a collaborative development workflow.

• Exploring AI-assisted development tools and learning how to use them effectively throughout the software development lifecycle.

By the end of the internship, you’ll have gone through the entire development lifecycle - from designing the solution and writing the first lines of code to deploying a working application in the cloud.

What sets you up for success

You'll thrive in this internship if you have a solid foundation in Java and object-oriented programming (OOP), along with curiosity and a strong desire to learn and grow.

Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, HTTP and REST APIs, Git and version control, and basic web development concepts will help you get up to speed more quickly.

Experience with Spring Boot, React, Docker, or AWS is a plus, but not required.
